The Friday Tailgate 11/7

It's the penultimate Saturday of the college football season and the 2008 Centennial championship could be secured outright in Allentown. Muhlenberg clinched a share of the title last Saturday with its victory at Dickinson and can make it back-to-back outright crowns with a win against Ursinus. Moravian and Johns Hopkins - the two-loss teams in the CC - need a Bear victory to keep their hopes of a shared Conference title alive. The Blue Jays must defeat Franklin & Marshall, while the Greyhounds have the week off.

Academics
Eight Centennial Conference football players were named to the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District first team - John DeLuca, Joe Caporoso, Mike Nolan and Jake Floyd of Muhlenberg; Tyler McCambridge, Brian Reckenbeil and Carl Robinson of Moravian; and Steven Levinson of Johns Hopkins. Two other Hopkins' players - Anthony Catanzano and Mike Stoffel were second-team selections.
