Five-Star Matchups

Washington at Haverford (Field Hockey)
Two teams in the hunt for a Conference playoff spot could determine if one gets a first-round bye today on the Main Line. The Shorewomen (4-2 CC, 6-7) and the Fords (4-2, 9-4) are tied for third place in the Conference and have a half-game lead over Gettysburg (6-8, 4-3). Haverford has won four straight in the series to close the all-time deficit to 11-5-1. The Fords are second in the Conference in scoring offense (4.69), while Washington is third in scoring defense (1.87). Haverford's Alex Waleko is second among Centennial players in scoring (15-9-39), while the Shorewomen's Shannon Davis is third in save percentage (73.7).

Swarthmore at Ursinus (Women's Soccer)
A vital game for both teams takes place in Collegeville this afternoon as the Garnet (5-1, 7-4-2) takes on the Bears (4-3, 7-5). Swarthmore is tied for first place in the Conference with Dickinson and holds the tie-breaker advantage on the Red Devils. Ursinus is currently seventh in the CC and may need three points to keep its playoff hopes alive. The Garnet is 3-0-1 vs. the Bears in the last four meetings, but UC holds a 9-5-1 all-time series lead. Swarthmore's Megan Colombo is tied for the Centennial scoring lead (9-2-20), while Jess Porcelan leads Ursinus with 6-3-15.
