Five-Star Matchups

For the uninitiated, "Five-Star Matchups" is our look at the day's key games around the Conference. They can be games that impact the Centennial standings or games that impact the national scene.

Johns Hopkins at Messiah
(Women's Soccer)

We start the year's "Five-Star Matchups" with a titanic matchup - #4 Johns Hopkins at #1 Messiah. The Blue Jays have not lost a regular-season match since Oct. 1, 2007, when TCNJ defeated JHU, 1-0 - a streak of 31 straight. The defending national champion Falcons have won 44 straight regular-season matches since a 1-0 loss to Elizabethtown on Nov.4, 2006. The two teams battled to a scoreless draw last season in Baltimore. Can't make the trip to Grantham? Listen live on WVMM.

Washington at Franklin & Marshall (Volleyball)
It's the Centennial opener for both teams with the surprising Shorewomen (5-0) traveling to Lancaster to take on the Diplomats (4-1). Washington is undefeated through five matches for the first time since 2004, while F&M is fresh off a victory at the Moravian Invitational. The Diplomats have won the last 20 matches in the series since a 1989 Washington win.
