The Tuesday Tip

It's the first full night of conference play for women's hoops with key tilts in Collegeville and Gettysburg.

Dickinson at Gettysburg
The Red Devils (1-0, 2-2) and the Bullets (0-1, 2-2) meet for the 65th time in a series that dates to 1975 ... Gettysburg holds a 42-22 advantage, but Dickinson has won three straight, including a 51-48 triumph last season at Bream Gym ... two of the CC's top sophs take the floor in Dickinson's Alesha Sisco (11.5 ppg, 8.3 rpg.) and Gettysburg's Caitlin Moser (15.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg). The undefeated Shorewomen (0-0, 2-0) look to continue their hot start by snapping a nine-game losing streak to the Bears (0-0, 1-1) ... Washington has not won at Helfferich Hall since 2002 (68-56) - a stretch of five games ... the Shorewomen's Jane O'Donnell leads the Conference in scoring (20.5), while Ursinus' Carolyn Konstanzer is fifth (17.5).

The Diplomats (1-0, 2-1) and the Blue Jays (0-0, 1-4) meet for the 57th time in a series that began in 1976 ... F&M swept the season set last year to take a 29-27 advantage ... the 2008 CC Player of the Year - F&M's Sarah Meisenberg - is sixth in the CC in scoring (15.7) and is shooting nearly 61 percent from the floor, while Hopkins' Kristin Phillips is 10th in scoring (12.6) and third in rebounding (10.4). The Fords (0-1, 0-2) travel to Allentown looking for their first win of the season and first win against the 24th ranked Mules (1-0, 3-0) since 1991 ... Muhlenberg has a 28-game winning streak in the series and has never lost to Haverford at Memorial Hall ... 'Berg's Lauren Boyle is second in the CC in scoring (18.0) while Kelly McKeon is averaging 11.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per outing ... This is the 20th all-time meeting between the Garnet (0-0, 0-3) and the Green Terror (0-0, 1-2) with McDaniel holding a 14-5 advantage ... the two schools split the season set last year ... Swarthmore's Kathryn Stockbower has identical 17.7 averages in points and rebounds, leading the Conference in the latter category ... Ali Moreland leads a balanced McDaniel attack (10.5 ppg).
