Five-Star Matchups

It's the final full weekend of Centennial action before final examinations but tests will be handed out early for the Conference unbeatens on Saturday.

Gettysburg at Ursinus (Men's Basketball)
It is a game that Gettysburg fans have had circled on their calendars for eight months. The ninth-ranked Bullets (1-0, 4-0) travel to their personal house of horror to take on the 21st ranked Bears (1-0, 3-1) in a rematch of the 2008 Centennial title game. Also, a rematch of the 2008 NCAA Division III "Sweet 16" contest. Both games ... as well as the two regular-season contests ... were won by Ursinus. In fact, Gettysburg lost five games last season - four to the Bears. UC has a 10-game winning streak against the Bullets since a 71-63 Gettysburg triumph in 2005 at Helfferich Hall. Keep an eye on the matchup of sharp-shooting guards in Gettysburg's Dan Capkin (16.5 ppg.) and Ursinus' Matt Hilton (18.0 ppg.)

Muhlenberg at Franklin & Marshall (Women's Basketball)
The 21st ranked Mules (3-0 CC, 5-0) and the Diplomats (2-0, 3-1) meet for the 35th time in their rivalry. The teams split the season set last year with F&M capturing a 75-60 decision at Mayser to give the Dips a 20-14 all-time advantage. Two of the Conference's top players will be on display in Muhlenberg's Lauren Boyle and F&M's Sarah Meisenberg. You can also see a rising star in 'Berg's Alexandra Chili, who set a school freshman record with six three-pointers last night against Swarthmore.

Muhlenberg at Franklin & Marshall (Men's Basketball)
The Mules (1-0, 3-1) and the Diplomats (1-0, 5-0) square off for the 124th time in their long rivalry with 'Berg looking to end a six-game skid at the Mayser Center. Muhlenberg's last win in Lancaster was a 76-58 triumph in the 2001 CC semifinals, while its last regular-season win was in 1999. F&M, who leads the all-time series, 64-59, is led by 6-6 sophomore James McNally who is averaging 18.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per outing. Muhlenberg will counter with 6-9 junior Peter Barnes who has posted 14.0 and 9.3 numbers.
