Sunday Swim Finals

First, the good news. Our technical difficulties have been corrected and it looks as if we are good to go with LIVE VIDEO tonight. The not-so-good news is that your video stream may be affected by the number of viewers that we have tonight ... so while we appreciate your comments about the video quality, there may not be much we can do.

Thanks for your patience last night ... and due to your comments, we will provide two separate blogs for tonight's events - one for the results and another for your comments. Please just keep it clean and positive!

Will the Sunday morning prelims be posted?

Anonymous said...

Also, will you post the slow heat miles results?
Thanks for the video update!

Are the results from this morning's session available online anywhere? I can't find them anywhere.

Hey Steve,
Thanks for what you are doing - as a parent, I certainly appreciate it. Any chance the Preliminaries results are going to be on the Centennial Conference page like they were on Friday and Saturday? No link is showing up today like they have the past 2 days and I'd like to see how my daughter made out.

Results are posted on the F&M Men's Swim Team web site.

We loved your announcing on Friday, but we can't hear it now. Is it our computer, or are you not doing it tonight?

Anonymous said...

Steve

We can barely hear you. Audio issues?

Anonymous said...

We are live on the internet with video. All of the results from session 5 is available on the CC website.

Thanks!

Thanks so much, it is really appreciated that yall are even trying this and helping us out at home that can't be there to watch!

Our picture is not live, but static. Is this a server issue?

200 FLY IS THE LAST INDIVIDUAL EVENT.

Anonymous said...

It should be fixed.

I will be posting results on our Swim Results Blog as suggested yesterday. Any and all conversation about the championship or the CCBN coverage should be done here.

Thanks!

how do we get AIM sound??

Anonymous said...

We have our AIM open to take suggestions on the video. Steve posted the address on the CC Broadcast Network page. I believe I got the sound to stop. Sorry for that.

I posted the 1650 free results on the other blog.

Thanks!

In my quicktime window, a single view of a race shows up, and the timer is rolling at a normal pace, but there is no movement, and no sound....am I the only one with this problem?

Anonymous said...

no you're not alone...i have the exact same problem...glad to know im not the only one!

Anonymous said...

Please hang in there. You will notice a short break in your viewing. We are going to check our settings to make sure it isn't on our end with the frozen picture. Hang in there and the picture will be back in minute or two. Please remember to refresh your screen to view again.

Thanks!
Kim Wenger

No I've been experiencing similar problems. Steve just said they are going to reconfigure some settings in an attempt to improve things. We have to refresh our quicktime window to reload the broadcast.

Anonymous said...

i have a similar problem, except i still have sound, the timer is rolling and the picture is frozen in one spot, it moves every now and then but not very often

Anonymous said...

Just hit play and pause again and that should work.

Thanks!
Kim

Unknown said...

does hitting play, then pause "reload"?

Anonymous said...

I believe we got everything worked on our end. Please hang in there with our server. We really appreciate the comments to help us out with this broadcast. We hope we can do more of this in the future.

Thanks!

I tried it and it worked on my computer, but you might want to close the window and try opening the link again,

Thanks!

i closed the window to try and reload and now it wont come up or connect at all

Unknown said...

yeah DIPS!!!!! keep it up!

Anonymous said...

i've got nothing as well now

Anonymous said...

Right now it looks like the F&M server is being maxed out with the number of people trying to view and causing the screen to freeze and not let people in to view. Please hang in there with us. I am posting the results on the other blog.

Thank you for your understanding. We are trying our best.

Audio is very faint, and fades to nothing. Video is frozen, and then times out.

Anonymous said...

I completely shut down quicktime and then clicked on the link again and it worked.

Thanks!

if you get a chance, could you please post the updated team scores after each event? Thanks

Anonymous said...

I haven't received any yet from the table runner, but I will try to do that shortly.

Thanks!
Kim Wenger

Team scores should be on the wall next to the record boards. With the zoom on the camera it should be possible to see the scores. Keep up the good work Kim! I know Jordan and I definitely appreciate what you are doing :)

Anonymous said...

im dying to watch the m 200 fly but cant connect!! :(

Anonymous said...

Thank you for hanging in with us. I can't read the boards from where I am at, so I will try to run and get them as soon as I can.

i should just post this on the other blog just to piss you off...but did it ever cross your mind that people are making one-time mistakes by posting questions on the wrong blog, and that you don't need to be a jerk and admonish them...especially since you are so concerned with weeding through extra posts. get over yourself. go dips!

Unknown said...

yeah army!!!! what a meet!

Anonymous said...

When is the 200 Butterfly gonna be posted

Anonymous said...

Now my quicktime has stopped showing anything, no video, no audio.

Anonymous said...

did anyone get to see the 200 butterfly?...i wasnt able to connect and would like to know the results, assuming its already been done

Anonymous said...

Mine has too, for a long time. That is why the posting of the results have been sooo helpful! Thank you!

Anonymous said...

Sorry for the technical difficulties. We really appreciate everyone staying with us tonight. It looks like our server went down. All the results are up on the other blog and and I will try to get the final results up asap.

Thank you for working so hard on this. We appreciate you trying to push the envelop.

Anonymous said...

yeah dips! take that swat!

Anonymous said...

While I am no doubt pumped the F&M men won the meet, I'd also congratulate SWAT on a great meet too. This has to be one of their best, if not best, showings ever at the conference meet. Hopefully you guys can keep up the strong swimming over the next several years.

Anonymous said...

Congrats Cali, Cronin and Bohdan!!!!!!!

Unknown said...

I totally agree with Squal. Swat deserves a lot of recognition for having one awesome meet. Keep up the good work.

Anonymous said...

As a fellow North Penn graduate...Congrats to Cali Nelson from me as well. Way to represent our high school well!

Anonymous said...

Thank you all for your understanding!! I will have the men's final relay posted shortly.

Everyone did a great job this weekend. Hopefully we can figure out what went wrong with the server and get it worked out for next year.

Again our sincerest apologizes and thank you to you all!!!!!

Congrats Gburg Women and F&M men!! Seemed like a great meet for many. The quality of swimming has really broadened for the entire conference. The Conference should be proud
