The Centennial began Conference play last season with no real surprises ... Johns Hopkins continued its "Homewood Hex" over Muhlenberg with a 2-0 win over the 12th ranked Mules ... 'Berg is 0-8-1 vs. the Blue Jays at Homewood Field and is 0-9-1 all-time on the JHU turf ... Nick Kosik (Emmaus, PA / Emmaus) scored both goals for Hopkins, who is now 12-0-1 in their last 13 home matches and 125-10-10 under coach Matt Smith at Homewood ... Muhlenberg's No. 12 ranking was the highest for the school since garnering the 8th spot for two weeks in 1997 ... Gettysburg B Mike Tirney (Springfield, PA / Springfield) was the leader of a Bullet defense that allowed just one shot on goal in two games last week ... Jesse Gemberling-Johnson (Wyndmoor, PA / Christopher Dock) scored the winning goal for the Orange and Blue in overtime against Haverford in the 103rd minute ... Dickinson outshot Swarthmore, 19-5, but the Garnet made its shots count in a 2-0 win over the Red Devils ... Stu Leon (Wrentham, MA / King Phillip Regional) and Ladule Lako lo Sarah (Davis, CA / Claremont) both scored first-half goals and Ryan Sutcliffe (Milford, DE / Milford) made them stand up for his second straight shutout ... Franklin & Marshall made it four straight wins with a 4-0 triumph at McDaniel ... Chris Campbell (Narberth, PA / Friends Central) had a goal and an assist, while Ed Stelz (Washingtonville, NY / Loomis Chaffee) registered his school-record setting 15th shutout ... Jordan Lange (Hyde Park, NY / Franklin D. Roosevelt) scored the "golden goal" in the 101st minute to lift Washington past Ursinus, 1-0 ... Marc Petrucci (Avondale, PA / Avon Grove) made eight saves for his second shutout in three games ... Dickinson's Andy Rowek (West Orange, NJ / Seton Hall) scored the fifth fastest goal to start a game in Division III history, tallying just 12 seconds into a match at Susquehanna ... McDaniel battled second-ranked Messiah for 106 minutes before surrending an overtime goal to fall to the defending national champions, 1-0.
