Every Game Matters

It's the final day of the regular season in the Conference in field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball. Add to that the 13th annual Cross Country championship currently underway at Johns Hopkins ... and four football games and we have a full slate of activity today.

This blog will up you posted on all the day's activity as it is occurring ... no need to check 11 different websites or a number of pages on the Conference site. And please feel free to add scores and highlights from your venue ... you may know the outcome of a game before we do.

The women's cross country race is over and Dickinson has taken the first three places, led by Emily Hulme who defended her 2004 Centennial title. Abbey Fergusson and Caitlin Bradley finished second and third, before Muhlenberg's Karen Mount came across the line. Men's race starts at noon ... more to come.

Men's Soccer FINAL
Swarthmore 2, Haverford 1, 2OT

McDaniel is top seed, Swarthmore is No. 2

Dickinson 2, Gettysburg 0....what will happen with the last three spots in the Centennial?

Anonymous said...

if hopkins beats f&m...shouldnt dickinson go through?

DC - F&M : 1-2
DC - GET: 2-0
GET - F&M: 2:0

DC has a +1 goal diff in games between tied teams.

GET has an even diff, and F&M has a -1.

Is this the correct tie-breaking method?

No first is Head to Head against tied teams. They'd all be 1-1 against each other. After that it goes to record vs. CC opponents in descending order so it would be all those teams vs #1 McDaniel. Gettysburg would have the tie breaker since they tied McDaniel.
