Only three of the Conference's seven teams are in action on Saturday in the last weekend before Centennial play begins. Franklin & Marshall (1-1) hits the road for the first time in 2006, taking the Turnpike to Pittsburgh to face Carnegie Mellon. The Tartans are 3-0 on the season and are on their way to CMU's 32nd consecutive non-losing season. The Diplomats will have their hands full with a Tartan defense that is ranked 13th in the country in total defense, allowing just 168.0 yards per game. F&M QB Kyle Turner (Haddonfield, NJ / Haddonfield) leads the CC in passing yardage (197.5 ypg) and total offense (220.0 ypg). The Diplomats have not won in Pittsburgh since 1965 ... Gettysburg (1-2) is the lone home CC team this weekend, playing host to the Big Red of Denison. The visitors are winless following losses to Case Western Reserve and Randolph-Macon. Bullet freshman QB Matt Flynn (Northfield, NJ / Mainland Regional) tied a program record and set a Centennial rookie record with five touchdown passes last weekend in the shootout loss at Rochester ... Johns Hopkins (1-1) makes the longest trip of the week and the season as the Blue Jays head to the North Country to take on St. Lawrence (0-2). Hopkins is 20-3 in the month of September since 2000 and 31-8 since 1995. OT Phil Dixon (Toms River, NJ / Toms River North) is scheduled to make his 33rd consecutive start for the Jays, second only to WR Anthony Triplin (Baltimore, MD / Gilman) who has 35 straight starts.
