Super Saturday

Do we have a weekend of action for you! We'll start with big games around the Conference on the hardwood in Haverford and Collegeville ... we'll take you to the pool in Lancaster for a live look-in at a big swimming meet ... we'll head to the Commonwealth of Virginia for a critical Centennial wrestling match ... oh yeah, we'll cap it with Super Bowl XLI. Well, actually that's the NFL's thing, not ours.

Johns Hopkins at Haverford (Men's Basketball)
The 20th ranked Blue Jays (18-2, 12-1 CC) look to avenge their only Centennial loss of the season when they visit the Main Line to take on the Fords (9-10, 8-5). Haverford has won three of the last four meetings at home, but Hopkins got the best of the Fords last season at Gooding Arena, 89-69. You can catch the live video feed of this showdown, beginning at 4 p.m.

Dickinson at Ursinus (Women's Basketball)
The Red Devils (16-4, 10-3 CC) and the Bears (13-7, 9-4) meet in a critical contest that will have major playoff implications. Dickinson won the first meeting between the teams on Jan. 9 by a 66-55 count, as the Devils held Mary Kate Daley to just eight points on 4-of-12 shooting. Dickinson has won the last three meetings at Helfferich Hall and eight straight overall to take a 15-5 series advantage.

Ursinus at Washington and Lee (Wrestling)
The Bears look to extend their 27-match Centennial win streak when they visit Lexington to take on the Generals (5-3, 3-2) and McDaniel (3-6, 2-3). Two matches to watch are at 125 where Ursinus' Steve Kingsland (16-4) battles W&L's Sammy Brusca (13-7) and at 165 where the Bears' Mike Schwager (22-8) takes on W&L's Anthony Boniello (15-7).

Gettysburg at Franklin & Marshall (Men's and Women's Swimming)
The perennial Centennial powers meet at McGuiness Pool in Lancaster with dual-meet crowns on the line. The Diplomat men (4-5, 4-1 CC) can gain a share of the championship with a win and a Swarthmore (5-2, 4-0) loss against Dickinson. The Bullet women (7-1, 6-0 CC) can complete an undefeated CC dual-meet schedule with a victory, while F&M (7-2-1, 5-1) can gain a share of the crown with a triumph. You can watch the meet LIVE on the Centennial Conference Broadcast Network in experimental video as we prepare for the Centennial championships in two weeks.
