CC Swimming Championships - Saturday Trials

The pool is fast ... records are falling ... it promises to be an exciting "day two" of the 2006 Centennial Conference Swimming championships at F&M's Kunkel Aquatic Center. The host Diplomats have a four-point lead on Gettysburg in the women's competition and a 58-point advantage on the Bullets on the men's side. Who to Watch This Morning: F&M's Kelly Landman is the CC record-holder and top seed in the women's 400 IM; Swarthmore's Jennie Lewis, F&M's Brittany McCabe and Washington's Ally Simons will take aim at the CC 100 butterfly meet record (58.08) which has stood since 1997; the Diplomats' Jenna Walters begins her quest for a second gold in the 200 free; the Bullets' Michael Hughes and Dickinson's Everett Kimball are the top two seeds in the men's 200 free; McDaniel's best shots at gold come in the 100 breaststrokes behind top seeds Cassie Allen and Chris Reed; and Swarthmore first-year Douglas Gilchrest-Scott will battle F&M's Phil Rehders in the 100 back. It's a full day of competition in the Conference ... we'll keep you up-to-date.
